Castle Point Records (CPR) is an exciting new record label based at Stevens. Currently headed by President Stephen Puig and Vice President; Ken Bachor, CPR witnessed the successful release of their new album, Delusions of Grandeur, in April 2006. The release was accompanied by an equally successful kick-off concert at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ, as well as several incredibly positive reviews in newspapers such as The Hudson Current and The Star Ledger.
Recently, Rolling Stone Magazine raved about Cori Yarkin's screaming hot track "Everything You Said," which is featured on Delusions of Grandeur. Her songs have enjoyed over one million plays. In addition, this past summer, Last Perfect Thing (LPT) packed the world famous Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ (where Bruce Springsteen was discovered). LPT also shared a stage with superstars Soul Asylum this summer at the Jersey Shore. Multi-platinum, Grammy winning Producer Carlos Alomar produced 2 songs on the album and also played guitar on the Last Perfect Thing song, "Operator". Carlos co-wrote the smash hit David Bowie song "Fame," and he has additionally enjoyed performances, recording sessions and writing sessions with superstars and other Grammy winners such as: John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Whitney Houston, Deborah Gibson, Paul McCartney, Luther Vandros, James Brown, Duran Duran and Nine Inch Nails--to mention JUST a few.
Producer Rob Harari has enjoyed musical success with events for Gregory Hines, Barbara Streisand, Bring in Da Funk, Spike Lee, ELO, PBS & CBS TV. CPR's Executive Producer, David Musial, produced the theme for and mastered a platinum album featuring Dave Matthews, Alanis Morrisette, Everclear, Backstreet Boys, and Green Day.
